I was pretty excited when they came out with refrigerators that had the water and ice dispenser in the door – very high tech. How about a fridge that’s equipped with an advanced climate control that can track food expiration dates? My fridge would be a lot cleaner if it could do this.

I have been in a relationship for about 7 years we have lived together 3 1/2 of them. I have been trying to talk to my mate about getting married and he just doesn't want to go that route. We have 8 children between the two of us the youngest are twins and they are ours. His kids are older and don't live with us. I have been really upset about this because I finally feel ready to settle down and get married but he doesn't really leave that option open. I understand somewhat we have both been married twice before he is 39 and I am 31. this is the longest relationship I have ever been in and I love this man more then I have ever loved any man. I just don't know if I am selling myself short. Don't I deserve a wedding and to marry the man I want to spend the rest of my life with? or Should I just accept the fact that he doesn't think we need to get married and everything is fine the way it is? I have been losing alot of sleep on this one and feel as if I am not as good as his ex's so he will never marry me. What do I do?

my little shoebox flat

Time sure flies! I've been living in my little shoebox flat for a little over a month now, and almost everything is in, minus the little touches. It feels like my home.

I found the flat in Jan this year. It's in an older neighbourhood in Hong Kong. The area is going through dynamic redevelopments, especially with the new subway station proposed behind my building. I felt in love with its old-world charm. it's very rare to find areas in HK these days where you can take a stroll down and buy freshly-steamed Chinese cakes.

What really sold me is the night's view, looking over the ocean and new buildings.

The flat is very small in North American standards, I have the B unit.

With the help of my friends, we've painted the living room/den in bright yellow and blue. Furniture were custom-made for the space, as every inch is prime real estate (literally) I must have things that will fit and work or else I won't have any storage/comfort!

Looks like this fall, we will be going to another state to pick out our new cabin home, to put on our property there. We have been waiting over a year for this! Moving to a cooler area. Here in the desert is just way to hot. Where we are moving gets moderate snow. There is a new elementary school not far from our property. We will be having a lot to do this fall! But we are so very excited about it. We will go pick it out, then go once a month to get our permits, fencing etc. building a garage. When its finished we will be partially retiring there. I will work part time, and maybe my husband too. We are adopting, and it will be final soon, Our final court date we are told will be in a few months. We have been waiting for this day to come. When its final then we can move. Our older girls are all scattered in different states, so it won't be like we are leaving them. It will be nice to be able to slow down, and breathe the fresh air up there. Our five year old will be entering Kindergarten this year, so we want to be able to get to our final home for him to grow up in. It will be so nice to have a nice vegetable garden like we used to have, flowers and trees. Everything we miss so dearly since we moved here to this desert town. We just can't wait, we are so excited. Waited many years for this.

Home Must Haves

If I were presented $5 million dollars, I would buy a top notch home somewhere in California. Of course nowhere near the land slides and earth quakes. If that's even possible. I would love for my home to be near the beach. A beach front home is what I consider relaxing and soothing. I need a place that's mostly quiet and safe for me to bring in human life. I know Cali's women have been dubbed as superficial, snobby and health crazed. Believe it or not, women like this exists everywhere. So why not buy a home where I'm used to these type of women(even though all of there aren't like that), have a beach front home and live near rodeo drive?

A must have for my home is to NOT have the living room attached to the kitchen. I absolutely can't stand for the living room to smell like breakfast, lunch or dinner. It my just be me, but I love for every room in the house to have its own smell. If I buy a calming candle from Bath & Body Works for that room only, I shouldn't be able to smell beacon frying along with the candle. That's a huge no no! There should be a hallway before guests come in. Something like Jessica Simpson and Nick Lashay's home. They had this really big space where the guests can decide if they wanted to the left where the living room was or to the right where the den possibly lead to the kitchen.

When it comes to the back yard, I'd like the pool area to be separated from the jacuzzi. Where the kids know when the adults play....lol There has to be enough space for a patio table, chairs and entertainment. A guest house as well as a four car garage would be the icing on the cake.

This month's Home magazine featured an adorable kitchen redone by a reader. The tiny kitchen was redone for relatively cheap, but it's most outstanding feature is a simple Nancy Drew silhouette mural stenciled by an artist friend. I also have a minuscule kitchen and I'm so struck by how this kitchen mixes modern design and charm that I'm thinking of redoing mine in much the same way. Well, they finished most of the major work on the house today! I'm amazed at how different it looks - it's SO much better than it had been before. The house had been a kind of dingy white with black shutters, but now the siding is kind of latte coloured with white trim at on the edges and corners - when Nyght gets some of the photos on the computer I may post a couple. They replaced the back door that was on the verge of falling apart because of Xander's tendency to try to eat anything he can - plus he and Tasha scratching on it to let us know they want to come back in - with a really nice STEEL door - it's gonna take Xan a bit more effort to damage this one, I think! They put in new windows that reported to reduce energy costs by up to 35%, so that will be helpful, too! They removed all the board with wood rot and replaced them with new wood, and completely re-landscaped the area where we had some crazy, overgrown bushes. They even planted some flowers at the base of this huge maple tree we have in our front yard (oh, is that tree beautiful - in the fall, when it's leaves are all flame red and bright orange, you can actually see our tree from a few blocks down the street!)

The tree lady (there were SO many people here, I really didn't get too many people's actually names, but it's ok, because she never did get my name right either - LOL!) managed to get me a birch and a rowan that she planted in the same hole so that they'll grow up together the way the birch and elm had, and I also now have an actual red oak tree in my yard! I'm really excited about this because when each of those species is tied in a very special way to my faith. The red oak is sacred to Thor, who is my Patron (hence my nick, thorswitch,) so having one in my yard is like having a piece of him there, helping watch over me. When it gets big enough to need some pruning, I'll probably see if I can't get someone to trim a decent sized branch and maybe have someone carve a blessing bowl for me or even a set of runes. An altar tool made from a sacred tree in on my land would be very special, indeed!

Thor is also associated with birch trees, and his wife, Sif, is associated with the rowan, so having the birch and rowan growing together from the same planting hole has a very beautiful symbolism, too. I'm amazed at how well that ended up working out. In many ways, it's actually a better arrangement for my grove than what I had before. The Gods to work in mysterious ways, eh?

I have to say, I am very grateful to my Gods for leading these people to us, and grateful to *their* God (or Gods) for encouraging the to do this kind of charitable work. I tend to be a bit cynical at times, so this kind of an outpouring of generosity just amazes the daylights out of me!

Speaking of generosity, I saw a nice example of it today on one of the shows I watch. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal at all, but it's just nice to see stuff like this sometimes. I was watching one of the Challenge shows they do on Food Network where they bring in a bunch of cake designers who know the basic concept of the cake they're going to be making, but don't know the specifics until they get there. In this episode - (which was a repeat, so some of you may have seen it before) - the challenge was to create an engagement cake for a couple who got engaged right before the competition. It was cute - the man had told his girlfriend that they had a chance to be on a Food Network challenge helping out some of the competitors, and she - knowing he was "wanting his 15 minutes of fame" (as she put it) agreed. So, when the show begins, they two walk out there and she's not quite sure what they'll be doing, when he turns to her, gets down on his knee and proposes. Luckily, she said yes, or this would have been a VERY short episode!

Anyway, about 5 hours into the 6 hour competition, one of the cake designers collapsed and they had to take her to the hospital. That left her assistant there with an uncompleted cake. One of the other competing teams decided that they could make make their cake a bit less fancy than they'd planned, so that one of them could go help the assistant finish her teams cake, while the other guy work on their own cake. Then, when the 2nd guy got done with their cake, he went over to help make sure the assistant's cake was done.

I just thought that was the coolest thing. I mean, it wasn't like they were completely done, they still had work to do, and in order to help their competitor be able to have a finished cake to show, they actually did LESS on their own cake than they'd planned - which was something that could have hurt their own chances - to make sure that another competitor could at least have something nice to offer as well.

Sometimes I think it's sad that small things like that really affect me, because it seems like those kind of things should be the norm, not the exception, and that they're rare enough that I take notice of them, it makes me kind of sad.

Unfortunately, my DVR cut off for some reason before the couple could give their opinions on the designs, taste the cakes and decide on a winner, but I think I probably saw the best part of it, anyway.

How I'm uncluttering my home

I admit it. I'm a pile maker. Piles in the closet, piles in shelves, piles in cupboards, piles in the corner. I'm always digging through a pile somewhere looking for stuff. I was sitting down a couple days ago and thinking about getting better organized. A couple times, I've gotten the right idea & I have a few little plastic drawer carts for things like the kid's craft supplies. That works great. So I was thinking, how can I apply that to the rest of my "stuff?" I sat down & started making categories for the things I saw in the piles. I realized that the bulk of the piles were all my stuff. I never thought of it this way before, but it turns out to be categories for my interests. Child Development, Counseling, Zen Spiritual, Home Economics, Computer Games, Reading/Education, Physical activities, Clothes & body care. My husband's stuff consists of weights, hockey gear, books, computer gadgets & equipment & clothes. Then we have kids stuff, bedding, toys, clothes. My husband's stuff and the kids' stuff all have places to go. I have designed our space for their stuff. Not my stuff. My stuff just gets piled in random obscure places that are left over. I give my interests and my stuff low importance. Wow. That was an eye opener. I have a lot of books & files. So I started looking at which ones of my interests could go into filing cabinets. Child development is my preschool curriculum files, books and resources. That can definitely go in a filing cabinet grouped by topic. Counseling/Psych has a lot of research files and books. That can go in a file drawer. Reading/Education is mostly all books, so that can go on a bookshelf together. Zen Spiritual is books, papers & videos on Christianity, Reiki, Taoism, & Feng Shui. That can go in a file drawer. Computer games I want to keep can go on the bookshelf and my notes on computer games I'm designing, can go into a file drawer. I'm keeping only what I really need. Nice new books will go to the library, older stuff is going to the Salvation Army or the Goodwill thrift stores.Home Economics is a big category for me. My craft supplies are decently organized in the drawer carts like I mentioned. However, I don't have a place for scrapbooks, so I will have to plan bookshelf space for those. Finances. I used to have that nicely organized in a file cabinet, but we've moved since then & I never got started again. I found a good list of family records to keep and I'm shredding everything that is not in that list. In the kitchen, I am designating part of a cupboard just for cookbooks & recipes. Also put my control journal in this cupboard. What is a Control Journal? Its a 3 ring binder for keeping track of chores, meal planners, grocery lists, supplies, and addresses of your friends, families, doctors, vet, insurance agent, etc. Two good places for forms and checklists are the Yahoo Control Journal Group and the Flylady. Physical activity stuff. I had designated a couple of shelves of a plastic bookshelf for my husband's hockey gear. But things don't stay on it well and take up a lot of room when stuff is side-by-side. I was thinking about those little plastic drawer carts that worked so well for my craft supplies. I had some old empty file boxes and so I filled them up with things like iceskates, tennis rackets, balls, & snow gear. Made my own drawers to put on the shelves I don't put lids on them, letting things like a tennis racket stick out. This could also work with plastic bins or baskets. And you could even label them so that if kids or spouses get into them, they know where to put stuff back. This was so convenient, I think I'm going to get another one & do the same thing with tools. The one I saved for last is the one I was most dreading: my clothes, jewelry, shoes, hair, skin & body care. Our bedroom has a tiny closet. I found that some things I never wear because they just don't match anything and so they are going with stuff that doesn't fit anymore to be donated. Since our closet is so little anything that can be folded like jeans, sweaters & even some Tshirts are going in drawers & on a shelf. We have this old wicker trunk, so my shoes went in it & as you can see, my cat enjoys it. And here is where yet another drawer cart came to the rescue. One drawer has my hair stuff. A second drawer has my jewelry. The third drawer has the skin care, deodorant & everything I use in the morning. The last drawer has my nighttime stuff, fingernail polish & things I use less often. Makeup and most personal care products have a shelf life, so take the age of your products into consideration when you decide what to keep.So, I'm still working on some of it, but that what I'm doing to declutter and get rid of the piles! I'd love to hear any of your organization tricks & tips!

SF is working on adding a combo of loans and rebates that would make installing solar panels cheaper (perhaps becoming a reasonable option) for local residents. I decided to let go of being serious for a minute (yes, I was serious with my other blogs. Ha!) and take time to be funny. What other way than to let you ladies into my personal "Slangology". Slangology is your own personal vocabulary of words and their meanings. Remember, this is only for fun. If you actuality go out and repeat these words, then its your own fault that your the butt of many jokes...

Every female has had another female whom she thought was a friend, but turned out to be a complete "FAKE B****".

a) FAKE B****- is a female that approaches YOU for the friendship with a hidden agenda.

Example: Tiffany was the one to approach me like she was cool, but later I found out she was just after Anthony.

Now every once in a while we accidentally think a female is cool and WE approach her for a friendship. Later you realize she was talking mad game behind your back. She was just a "FAKE CHICK".

b)FAKE CHICK- is a lady that you thought would fit as a friend. She didn't really want to be a friend, but was trying to be nice because YOU wanted to be cool.

Example: Monee was cool, but I shouldn't have even thought the best out of her. I mean, I made a mistake by thinking she was a friend. she was a "FAKE CHICK".

Remember when you encountered that girl in college or high school and she dated any guy that gave her attention. She would be considered a "NOW AND 4EVER".

NOW AND 4EVER- These girls don't know that men are all around the world and that it's okay to be single for a minute. They don't know how to wait; so they take anything that comes first. They also look for relationships with these guys.

Example: Paris dated three guys her whole life time. Which is ironic because only three guys asked her out for dates.

Why is it that rich women are never perceived as golddiggers? I find that odd. Most rich women still look for a wealthy guy and only spend the man's money, while they hoard theirs. I call them "DIAMOND DIGGERS".

DIAMOND DIGGER- a rich woman that never seems to use her money for material things.

Example: Jazmine is a trust fund baby. However, she never buys expensive clothes unless she's dating a rich man.

Okay here we go again. The infamous easy guy/girl. In my eyes he or she would be a "SLUTTY BUTT".

SLUTTY BUTT- One whom is easy and WILL let you know it in a minute. They are proud to sleep around.
EXAMPLE: Maria gave oral sex to two guys and bragged about her threesome to everyone at work.

Now a lot of women already know that definition to this one. "RYDE OR DIE CHICK".

RYDE OR DIE CHICK- she's your best, best friend and would never let another harm you. Sometimes you two get mistaken for lesbians or even sisters.

EXAMPLE: Brittany and I are real close. Anytime I need help with something or in a tight situations, she's always there to help.

Like I said these are just for fun. If your friends can take a joke, use them. Hopefully you all can share your thoughts and "slangology" on the comment section.

Now it is even harder to get out of bed!

Thank you CasaSugar for making it that much more difficult to get out of bed on these cold mornings. My absolutely gorgeous silk fleece throw from VivaTerre arrived earlier in the week and every night I rush home just so I can snuggle up to it. It is one of the softest, warmest things that I have ever felt.

The colors are beautiful -- camel and ivory and it looks great neatly folded at the foot of my bed. I'm sure in a couple of days it will become my couch staple as I cozy up in front of the TV. I just have to make sure that the puppy doesn't start thinking that it's his!

Ribbon Christmas Card Holder

I don't know about you all, but my anal-retentive organized self has already mailed out the majority of her Christmas and holiday cards and now I'm just waiting for them to pour in. Until Thanksgiving, I had nothing to put them in (my grandfather made me a card holding sleigh), so I was seriously considering making one of these Ribbon Card Holders. They look adorable and I can think of a dozen places that I could hang it from off the top of my head.

So if you're struggling to find a place to put all those cards, this might be the perfect idea!

My cousin is selling her home and being the wonderful cousin that I am I thought I'd help her out!
It's a great house and I'm not just saying that because we're cousins. There's a church nearby, it's about 5-10 minutes to a shopping plaza w/an HEB, Chevron, Little Caesar's..that's all I can remember right now. It's a gated community, there's a park right across the street from where they live and it's very quite (always a plus). It's a two story house. Nearly move in ready. Very nice backyard w/a privacy fence.

Fitness Review: Get your TV watching in while you work out!

I'm no health nut, but I've developed a healthier way to watch all of the shows I love - work out in my room while I watch! My friend, Melissa, is a manager at Curves and currently attempting to lose somewhere in the 50 pound range. We both LOVE our shows - Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, all that good stuff - so we decided a couple of months ago to do 100 grueling sit-ups, push-ups, squats and bicep curls. It makes both of us feel a lot better about indulging in some serious TV watching because we're getting a good workout in while we do it. I'm already seeing results in my abs!

PS - The Biggest Loser is great TV and EXCELLENT motivation. I highly recommend it.

I've never been the crafty type, I gave up on making things when I got a d in sewing back in 7th grade. I must be getting older because I'm obsessed with HG TV and the Fine Living channel....and wish I could make half the things they can. Is there any hope for me? Can I make a pillow without sewing it? My mom busted up laughing when I told her I'd hot glue the edges.....don't laugh!!!

Oh yeah, and I saw the previews to Pageant Place and I llllloooooooooove how their apartment is decorated!!! Please share your tips on recreating that, if you have any!!!

I stopped at my local antique store today on my way home from errands and found this table for $10.80. Although it may not look like much right now, it will be a great TV/Media table for my daughter at college. Some paint, a pull/handle for the drawer and a cut-out for wires will make this table perfect to house a TV, DVD player, and DVDs in the drawer!

Shoppers Invade First IKEA Store In Florida

Ikea opened its doors on Wednesday and it seems that all South Floridians have gone nuts about it! My husband is already pouting thinking that soon we'll go explore this giant store but I am so excited! I was already bored with the same offerings at BB&B, Linens and Things, Sears, etc. Plus I like the clean lines of their designs and it's going to be a blast to see all their stuff!

This great catalog arrived with the morning paper and I have been eyeing their pretty tableware.

We have a war in our house, the messies versus the tidies. Yes, my hubby is a messy, while I am a tidy. In most of the spaces I reign supreme with peace and simplicity. Hubby's office however is an accident waiting to happen. And when he is in the middle of teaching a class, the messy spreads.

I do my best to keep the mess contained, but sometimes I can't and I am overcome by the sheer number of messes. I threaten, "bugs are going to make homes in those piles". "Your clothes are going to be ruined I say". Nothing seems to work... except that is calling in the big guns. Invite his family over.

Yes, for his family he will do what he won't do for me. He picks up his mess, puts his trash in the trash bin, and sometimes even cleans the bathroom. We need to have his family over more often.

These vases are made from beveled mirrors, which gives them an expensive look. I love the screenprinted bergere chair and chandelier, which gives them a decidedly deco look, but also a modern look of today.

Utilities thieves, what should I do?

Got a question, hopefully someone out there can help me. We have construction workers stealing our water and power while we're home, and even when we're not. (They keep plugging their cords into our electric and water outlets) Many other folks in the neighborhood have complained, but obviously not much is being done because it keeps happening. It costs money to file a lawsuit and I personally don't have the time, but this is bull. Something should be done about it, and all I can think of is either cutting their cord the next time I see it connected to my house, calling the cops, or taking a picture to send it to the local news. Who has the best and most effective solution for this?

Here are some of the best places to go when you are planning to decorate your pad.
1. Linens and Things
You can find bed linens here, often on sale. Curtains, picture frames the basics of living, but at a decent price, and most importantly, things are well made.

2. The supermarket
You read right!! The supermarket. You would be surprised, but in that little aisle where they have little odds and ends for the house, you can sometimes find cute little candle holders for no more the $3!! If you like religious art, go to the ethnic section of the supermarket, and you can buy those cool catholic prayer candles for under $5!!

3. Claires and Icing
These stores are excellent for throw pillows and picture frames and cute little accents like that!! They are very cheap which is nice, because you can afford to replace the stuff whenever you want at $10 a item or less.

4. TJ MAXX
Seriously, this place is amazing. Vases, mirrors, designer clothers...they got it all!! If you find a mirror or a piece of furniture and you find it slightly damaged, talk to the manager..sometimes they let you bargain the price down. I own this gorgeous Dark Oak floor length mirror(makes everyone look super thin). Anyway, it had a slight crack in the post, well the mirror was $80, but I got for $60, because of that crack. Remember it never hurts to ask.

5. Target
I like this store for online shopping. You can really find amazing furniture here!!

6.Online
Online shopping can be a real god sent...just make sure its from a store you trust and can return items if they end up not being what you expect.

How important is having a budget? Only one of the most important tasks, especially if you’re like most of us who need to keep our cash in check! For a successful party, every chic hostess should take into consideration her needs, wants and must haves, along with a reasonable dollar spending amount and the financial bankroll, to back it up. How many guests will you invite? Don't have a big budget? No worries, we will give you some fun, creative ideas that won't break the bank.

The Event Day

The next most important item on your to do list is figuring out precisely what will be included in your event. This is not too terribly hard to come up with since you already have your budget in place. However, there are several options, and choosing what will fit your needs can be a bit time consuming, so lets get started. There is something to be said for the fun it would be transforming and turning your home into a Spa for a day or evening.

Services to consider are full body massages, or spot massages, such as hands and feet, face and neck, arms and neck, check with a local licensed massage therapist for rates and availability.

Affordable creative ideas for your spa party

If your budget is not big and bulky, (and most of ours is not) I can assure you that you can still pull off an amazing spa-together time. Keep in mind, some of the most smashing parties have been thrown on a modest budget, you can do it!

Making homemade beauty recipes is all the rage these days, make them yourself before your guests arrive, or gather everyone in the kitchen to mix up countless concoctions. These are fresh, fun to make, and good for you, Now you can give each other facials, condition your hair, foot and hand scrubs and so much more. Split up into two groups, group one will put down foot soaks for everyone in-group two, then apply the beauty treatments you have made, then switch off. This is one of my favorite things to do, and budgets of all sizes have tremendous fun and meaningful bonding time too.

After you have decided what type of Spa Party, you will be having, make a schedule of events and pick the time of day or evening. Pick your party time carefully considering your guest’s schedules a head of time. This is sure to be the "can't miss" event; everyone is going to WANT to come to this party!

The Invitations

Send your invitations out 2-3 weeks in advance, and let your guests know what to expect so they can prepare appropriately. If you are crafty, you may like to make your own invitations, or for you computer savvy girls, making great looking invitations on the computer is a snap. A handwritten note inviting your guests is a thoughtful touch, but of course, you can also buy them.

The Menu

Keep it light. You don’t want your guests feeling overly full and uncomfortable, prepare fresh foods presented in a simple, beautiful fashion. Create an appealing setting for your food keeping it all together on one table, this makes it much easier to replenish, as needed.

Use linen tablecloths and napkins, please...no paper plates, plastic beverage bottles, plastic eating utensils, etc. TIP: Budget minded individuals-if in need, take a quick trip to your local dollar store, thrift sore, yard sales, etc., for these items. Don't worry about everything matching (example-dinner plates, silver, etc.), some of the most beautiful settings are done with mis-matched items.

The Bar

Serve Iced Teas and Fresh or Sparkling Waters in beautiful glass pitchers, with a dish full of lemon and lime slices and wedges. You may also like to serve select Wines, Champagne, Hot Herbal Teas, Fresh Juices or a Coffee Bar. Bring out your pretty teacups and glassware for this occasion.

Create Your Space(s)

Depending on how many guests you invite and what services you will be providing; transforming your home is another task to think about. Move furniture around to create open spaces. If you are having multiple professionals, use all the space you can. If people are having relaxing massages, you may want to include bedrooms in the plan along with all bathrooms. Be sure to have stacks of fresh clean towels, washcloths, soaps or gels.

Present your guests with a new freshly laundered Spa Robe Gift as they enter your party, or ask that everyone bring their own robe and slippers.

Have at least one vase full of fresh flowers and more if possible. If your party is themed or around the Holiday season, you may like to decorate; a touch of sparkle here and there creates a festive and warm feeling.

Set pretty dishes of potpourri in all rooms being used.

Potpourri Recipe

1 cup pink rose petals
1/2 cup red rose petals
1/2 cup white rose petals
1/4 cup chamomile fs
1/2 cup crushed statice (blue or white)
1/4 cup eucalyptus leaves
1/4 cup oakmoss
20 drops rose oil

Gently combine petals and leaves in a large bowl. Scatter drops of rose oil over the mixture using an eyedropper. Stir gently. Place mixture in a brown paper bag lined with wax paper. Fold and seal the bag with a paper clip and leave in a dry, dark, cool place for 2 weeks. Every other day, stir the contents gently to blend and disperse ingredients and scents. Place in glass bowls or candy dishes. Top with small white or pink rose buds.

Select relaxing/nature music CD’s, and have beautiful music flowing from beginning to end.

Take this opportunity to lavish and spoil your guests, and I don't mean by spending a lot of money on them, but by showing them how much you care by doing the little things that truly shine through. Make a toast to them and let them know how wholeheartedly happy you are that they could all come together to share and experience this time with you. Make this one afternoon or evening a time to remember. Relax, unwind and above all, enjoy!

Ingredients

Lavender Buds
Rose Petals
Chamomile Flowers
Lemon Balm
Pre-cut sheer tulle circles
Raffia or Ribbon
Essential Oils-optional

Directions

In a large bowl, mix all the dried herbs, and a few drops Essential Oils if you prefer. Put a scoop of the mixed herbs in the center of each tulle circle, gather the tulle up around the herbs snugly, and tie with a piece of raffia or ribbon. You can include a homemade tag for your Bath Tea with directions to toss in the tub and enjoy a relaxing stress-less bath.

Cranberry Lip Gloss

Every girl should have a pot of yummy lip gloss with her at all times! Protect sensitive lips from the drying elements with this simple yet rich lip balm. Delightful to wear alone or on top of your lipstick for extra shine!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon honey
1 drop of vitamin E oil

Directions

Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for a couple of minutes or until the mixture just begins to boil. (Bowl may also be heated in a pan of water on a stove top). Stir well and gently crush the berries. Cool mixture for five minutes and then strain through a fine sieve to remove all the fruit pieces. Stir again and set aside to cool completely. When cool, transfer into a small portable plastic container or tin. Apply a small amount onto your lips and remember to smile!

Lavender Sachets

Fill small muslin drawstring bags with dried lavender buds; make a little tag and your done. You may like to make several for each guest, do this by making four sachets for each guest, stack them on top of each other and secure with a pretty ribbon or raffia. You could also put them in a clear cello bag with a ribbon bow. Use your imagination and have fun with the gifts!

Raspberry Vanilla Bubble Bath

8 ounces unscented liquid soap
2 ounces distilled water
8 drops vanilla fragrance oil
6 drops raspberry frangrance oil
2 drops red food coloring

Mix together and store in a container. Pour in running bath water to use.

Marc Jacobs Home Collection

I love Marc Jacobs! I don't know if I'm a little late on this one, but his home collection in collaberation with Waterford Crystal is quite dainty and sweet. The "Peter" collection is something I really like, but I'm not too sure about the price tag its attached to.
