Salutations from Escalator-ville! This is how one will commute in the future -- with a long string of escalators that go down in the AM and up in the PM (but not super late at night, as Kjell and I learned the hard way last night). I'm thinking these could be quite useful in SF.

Last night Kjell and I ventured out of the comfortable sanctuary of the Mandarin Oriental to try out Fernandos, which is apparently the only worthwhile restaurant in Macau. The journey to the restaurant took us past the incredibly insane amount of construction going on in Macau and the surrounding islands -- this is going to be a far different place in a few years (meet the future Vegas Strip of China). The food was delicious (okay, from here on out I'll be better about taking pictures of the food, Party!).

Greetings from Hong Kong! Yesterday (after a delicious champagne brunch with a gorgeous view of the beach -- pictures later) we summited the peak of HK (which would be a whole lot more impressive if we hadn't taken a cab up and the death tram down)! Thankfully, after our arduous journey up, there was wine at the top.
