The World Oceans Day celebration brought out a gaggle of well-dressed women to the Hudson Terrace in NYC. Supermodel and
now-designer Amber Valletta attended the fête wearing a strapless silver Oscar de la Renta Resort 2010 dress that has an interesting origami detail on the skirt. In an attempt to toughen the look up, she paired it with black peep-toe booties with pearl detail.

Models are always welcomed at
Met's Costume Institute Gala, but since last night's
exhibit was all about them, they felt way more at home. Current models like Hana Soukupova, Coco Rocha, and Isabeli Fontana mixed and mingled with classics like Stella Tennant, Alek Wek, and Maggie Rizer, as well as old-school Supers Amber Valletta, Kristen McMenamy, and Nadja Auermann (left). It was a site to be seen; one that melted my heart.

I remember it like it was yesterday: I was 8 years old, it was Saturday morning, and I was watching one of my favorite TV programs, Fashion File. And there she appeared, Amber Valletta, with her BFF Shalom Harlow goofing around backstage at a fashion show. Those two were inseparable, but I always had eyes for Amber.

It never fails. Put together celebs, shopping, alcohol, and presto: the latest news. While attending the eco-fabulous
Loomstate for Target soiree earlier this week, Amber Valletta
spilled the beans on her latest endeavor: fashion design.

Supermodel Amber Valletta walked the orange carpet in a funky Preen frock that's suited for this lighthearted occasion. Silver dangle earrings are her only jewels, but she also threw a black Chanel clutch and black booties into the mix. What say you?
I thought it couldn't get any hotter with
Mischa's Summer '08 ad, but I was wrong. Striking a svelte pose is Iceberg's newest queen: Amber Valletta.
In the Fall '08 campaign, Valletta takes on a slick attitude to go with Iceberg's angular and voluminous cut designs.

Model, actress and mother Amber Valletta's latest hairstyle is bright, blonde, and feathered. I've always pictured her with light hair, but over the last eleven months, she's gone from dark brown to dirty blonde with gingery-colored low-lights. Something I've also noticed is that she's not big on wearing lots of makeup, not even to events, which I think is cool.

After walking the red carpet at the
Costume Institute Gala with
Kate Moss in her design, Stella McCartney kept the celebrity party going on the West Coast with a screening of The Party. Nicole, Joel, Charlize, and Stuart were just a handful of the stars that came out to watch the movie in Stella's LA boutique. Stella's already set her sights on designing a dress for another starlet who wasn't in the house — she wants to make Scarlett Johansson's wedding gown even though the bride doesn't know it yet.

Amber knows how to do red carpet fashion right: It's all about drama, drama, drama. Her metallic champagne column gown with mock wings is downright angelic. Are you loving it?

While we rested, Tinseltown families played — hustling to parties, premieres and the Kids' Choice Awards. Jennifer Meyer and Ruby celebrated with Nicole Richie and Harlow. Will Smith and his clan strutted down the orange carpet.
