It's a busy time for Tinseltown:

While we're busy watching Jonathan Rhys Meyers in
season two of The Tudors, the man himself is busy filming season three already. During a break from filming at Dublin Castle in Ireland, Jonathan was spotted wearing Tom Cruise style shoe lifts as part of his Henry VIII costume. I've got to admit those boot accoutrements don't do it for me, but Jonathan's still looking pretty good from the ankles up.

I'll be bringing you my full DVD, CD, book and cinema August Must Haves tomorrow, but here's a sneak peak at the TV show I'm looking forward to this month. Series 2 of
The Tudors starts tomorrow evening on BBC2, having
already aired in the States (bah!). I can't wait to see the smouldering Jonathan Rhys Meyers on my screen again, plus
new addition Peter O'Toole.

I'm looking forward to the DVD release of a couple of awesome TV shows this month, as well as the TV premiere of a top show's second series. I'm also excited about an eagerly-awaited book and album, and a fantastic film is hitting the big screen too. To see what I'm adding to my shopping cart and watching on the big and small screens this August just hit "Start."

Kate Beckinsale looked stunning in white this weekend at the
Raisa Gorbachev Foundation fundraiser in London. She was joined by Hugh Grant, Benicio Del Toro, Stella McCartney, Kevin Spacey, and more in support of the charity that helps raise money to help fight cancer in young children. The formal event held at the Stud House at Hampton Court Palace also included adorable Orlando who was
clearly turned on by his girlfriend Miranda's very sexy dress.

Decadent glamour was the name of the game at the
Costume Institute Gala at the Met in New York City last night. With a theme like "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy" we knew to expect something amazing, and the A-listers in attendance did not disappoint. Our girl Pop US has
the lowdown on all the stars and
Fab US and
Bella US have loads of polls, while here on Pop UK we're focusing on the British celebs who did us proud, from fashionistas Kate Moss and Stella McCartney to lovebirds Victoria and David Beckham.

For those of us
disappointed with the recent film adaptation of stories from King Henry VIII's court, tonight's second-season premiere of Showtime's bodice-ripping soap
The Tudors offers plenty of satisfying drama and intrigue.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers returns as the young brooding King of England who wastes no time in tonight's first episode getting to the good stuff: greasing the wheels to divorce the queen in order to make room for the very ambitious Anne Boleyn. This season the historical period known as the Reformation is ushered in, as Henry looks to break from the Catholic church and faces resistance from his own court — not to mention Pope Paul III, played by the wonderfully chilling Peter O'Toole.

Reading
The Other Boleyn Girl for the
Buzz Book Club last month has gotten me thinking more about Showtime's
The Tudors. The show, which stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as a young, handsome King Henry VIII, starts its second season March 30 — but you don't have to wait. In fact, you can watch the season premiere of The Tudors right here, right now.

To celebrate
St Patrick's Day we're looking to the amazing actors who hail from the Emerald Isle. Ireland has produced some of the best leading men, from Oscar winners to brooding heartthrobs and bad boys. We'd love to know: who is your favourite?

Ewan McGregor was handsomely dressed in a kilt last night at Not Another Burns Night in Covent Garden, with fellow Scot Sharleen Spiteri on his arm. Edith Bowman, Martine McCutcheon, Jasmine Guinness, KT Tunstall and Jonathan Rhys Meyers also showed up for the charity event, yet none really managed to outshine the delish Ewan!
