A handful of big names stepped out last night for Hamilton and Hollywood Life's Behind the Camera Awards in LA. Lucy Liu looked fabulous as usual on the red carpet while Ryan Phillippe mingled at the after party with his date Abbie Cornish. Evan Rachel Wood looked happy despite her
weekend drama over her breakup with Marilyn Manson.

It was another
celebrity-filled Lakers game last night at the Staples Center as the undefeated team beat the LA Clippers. David Beckham continued be a loyal fan, so maybe Posh isn't the only one who
is loving their LA life. Becks and Marc Anthony chatted with Kobe Bryant, and the stadium upped its comedic factor with Jonah Hill, Jack Black, and Will Ferrell keeping the laughs going all game long.

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen's little Olive celebrated her first birthday on Sunday with all of her A-List friends. Party guests including Jennifer Aniston, the Cox-Arquettes with Coco, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Ben Stiller, and Keanu Reeves came together in the Fisher-Cohen backyard. Seriously, talk about already having some clout in Hollywood at one.

I've seen
Forgetting Sarah Marshall a handful of times now, and after each viewing I love it a little bit more — so you can be sure that I'm going to recommend this DVD (out today) highly!
I think your enjoyment of this movie will partly depend on whether you're in the camp that love Russell Brand (or are fairly indifferent), or the camp that hate him with a vengeance. I'm in the former, so his part in this film is a highlight for me — he plays English rock star Aldous Snow, the man that Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) has lost his TV star girlfriend to.

LA was host to the
2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night, and nominees, presenters and performers flocked to the red carpet for the show. Black seemed to be the order of the day as Christina Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson, Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag showed up in gothic tones, meanwhile Heidi's
The Hills arch-enemy Lauren Conrad showed up in a gorgeous short white dress. Pink wore a striking red and black striped number, while Katy Perry turned up in...

Two of my favourite
Freaks And Geeks – James Franco and Seth Rogen – premiered their new movie
Pineapple Express in the US yesterday. Just in case my title confused you, Pineapple Express is not a train, in the movie it refers to a rare new strain of weed that the stoner and his dealer (Rogen and Franco) drop when they witness a murder – unfortunately it's so rare it can easily be traced back to them, so they go on the run.
I can't wait to see this movie, and neither could the whole host of stars that showed up to the LA premiere including Jim Carrey, Kanye West, Daniel Craig, Emma Stone, Alicia Silverstone and many more.

The recent news about
Jonah Hill writing a film adaptation of the 1980s TV series 21 Jump Street sent up warning flags a-plenty. First off, the assumption is that this movie will be a comedic version of the drama which, as EW points out, often used to include "earnest public service announcements." In fact, it might be a spoof version of 21 Jump Street, which doesn't sit right with me.

If you love yourself fancy (and pricey!) hoodies, well then the Bathing Ape store opening in LA last night might just have been your kinda fun. Kanye West, a very very loyal BAPE supporter, on a break from his
Glow in the Dark Tour was out for the event last night. Judging from his
fun with Jonah Hill, that breakup isn't weighing him down to much.
