What should we name our pug?

Howdy everyone! We adopted a pug over the weekend! We have been calling him Peanut because we can't decide on his name. (My husband calls anything that is little and cute "Peanut". Thats his pet name for everything!) He really loves that name, but I'm not so sure. I find myself calling him Pea Pea & Peenie too! I used to have a pug named Dewey & I've accidentally called him that a couple of times as well...
Vote on your favorite below, and of course I would love any name suggestions!

Awww, congrats on your new Pug candy! If my best friend wasn't named Yoshi, I'd choose that one, but I really like Rocco!

Although "OLIVER" isn't part of the choices but I always thought it would sound cute.

This is making me crazy! We have 5 other pets & I have all named them soooo easily, like w/in the first hour of meeting them! Laszlo, Sasha, Milo, Tallulah & Repo (I didn't name Repo)

I guess I'm the only one who likes Bonsai.
    Oliver is good, too.
My favorite names for boy pugs are old man names because they look like they should have a fedora and a cigar. And for girls really feminine girly girl names, 'cause well they are not so feminine (don't tell that to my Chloe, she thinks she's the hottest dog on the block).

My little black pug puppy is named Oliver (or, more formally Oliver Platt Walrus, Esq, though we call him Bubbles a lot).

Oliver is a good name (though we don't much call him Ollie because my name is Molly and it sounds too similar - I'm easily confused).

Though, I will say for your little bean I voted Peanut. He's adorable. Congrats on the new addition!

Right now I'm digging the name Boner for a boy dog. Don't know why. But your cute little pug looks like a Boner. Smiling

I thought I liked Bonsai than I thought about having to call him and it didn't sound as cute. Yoshi is cuter. Love new puppies.

Awww, he is an adorable addition to your family. I love the name Peanut. That's what I was calling our puppy before we named him. (Our neighbor has a dog named Peanut..that's why I didn't want to use it..also, I used to call my other dog Peanut sometimes, too.)

I voted Rocco but I also like Oliver, which seems to be the leader. I don't really like Peanut for a pug, maybe because I call babies and baby animals Peanut, like your husband. Do you like the name Rosco?

I like Buddha because it doesn't need a nickname. It's just Buddah. Oliver (ollie) is cute too. Is Pugsley to unoriginal? That's what I first thought. But someone mentioned Bosley, that's cute too. I'm not one to ask really...it takes me months to decide on pet names. Good luck and congrats.

Call him Pugsley or Askem so when people ask you his name you say Askem and they ask the dog his name it's really funny

Pugs are great! Every pug I have ever met has had an out-size personality. Pugs seem to like playing with big dogs, too. I have a huge, 109 pound pooch that has had his share of pug girlfriends. It is so funny to see them stand on their hind legs so they can lick his face.
