I recently acquired two wooden end tables from a friend who smokes, and unfortunately the stench came home with the tables. I'm hoping someone knows of a miracle product or trick that I can use to get rid of the smell. The smell isn't terrible, you have to be within a foot or so of the tables to smell it, but I plan to use them as nightstands in my bedroom, and really want to get this smell out asap. Any suggestions?

I would start with a vinegar and water solution (don't leave it sitting on the wood), and if that doesn't work, get the Orange cleaner for wood and try that. If that doesn't do it, Home Depot has a cleaner by Zep that is a smoke odor eliminator. Good luck!
