I would start with a vinegar and water solution (don't leave it sitting on the wood), and if that doesn't work, get the Orange cleaner for wood and try that. If that doesn't do it, Home Depot has a cleaner by Zep that is a smoke odor eliminator. Good luck!

In addition to what sg said, I'd try letting it sit outside for a few weeks to air out.

I was going to suggest the same as the previous poster - air them outside for a while.

i would try pouring baking soda on the surface and in the drawers and leaving it there a while. maybe you can store cedar chips in the drawers for a while too?

some old stored wood can start smelling musty and it's a biotch trying to get the scent off.

I've had them out in the garage for the past few days to air out, haven't checked on them yet to see if the smell is out. Don't know why I didn't think of baking soda - I have some in the fridge. I may try that first, and if it doesn't work, I'll try the vinegar solution.
