Watergate Salad

This salad, while a tradition at every holiday and get together in my family, is not exactly the traditional salad. And, for most, the bright green color doesn't exactly peak any interest.

But it's delicious!

The ingredients come together for a smooth dish that has little bits of nuts, pineapple, and even marshmallows in it!

Watergate Salad

1 (3.4 ounce) package instant pistachio pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, with juice
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions

In a large bowl, mix together pudding mix, pineapple with juice, marshmallows, and nuts. Fold in whipped topping. Chill.

YUUMMY! I tried this for the first time last year and I loved it. The flavor's so addicting too. It wasn't too appealing, but I encourage everyone to try it Smiling

Mmmm, I make this a lot - I leave out the pineapple and put in red seedless grapes. I'm always asked to bring this to family get togethers!

There's another similar one, without pistachios. They even have it at the deli at the grocery store, they call it Hawaiian Delight.

What names does everyone else call it by? This is always the one that I've heard.
