My boyfriend and I happened to buy a bottle of red champage last time we were wine tasting. We thought we would crack it open for the 4th of July. Then we had a stroke of genius why not get a regular bottle of champage and try to make it more festive. One drop of blue dye and we had the perfect 4th of July cocktail. (BTW, it didn't hurt the flavor)

My super geeky brother said it reminded him of Romulan ale! Here is Spock drinking it:

Apparently, the crew of Enterprise A were alcoholics, who knew?

Cheers!

cute idea! i don't think you could find a great blue color, but my tip is to take champagne and add a tiny bit of syrup - like torani style syrup that you make italian sodas and flavored coffees out of. then you get a bit of a flavor splash too! too bad blueberry would look purple though. I love this idea, thanks!
