Welcome to RESPECT! — the TeamSugar home of the Family Violence Prevention Fund. Did you know that nearly one third of American women report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives? And it’s reported that 50 percent of the men who assaulted their wives also abused their children. This must stop. Together with the Sugar Network, FVPF will be bringing you information about violence prevention for you to contemplate and discuss in this comfortable and friendly group. Starting with National RESPECT! Day on Sept. 19 through October’s Domestic Violence Prevention Month, visit this group for information on what domestic violence is, how to prevent it, and how to get involved in the cause.
