This is a follow up post from yesterday's blog, where I mentioned that I am invited to a Transformers birthday. Isn't it funny how the toys we had as kids are coming back? I used to adore Strawberry Shortcake, Carebears, My Little Pony, and am tickled that they are all popular (although it seems Strawberry has gone through a little updating
I also had a thing for Pound Puppies, I don't know if they're still around.

For a blast from the past check this out this youtube clip:

Oh sofi, that's so cute! I have about 3 of my old My Little Ponys. My boys don't play with them, but when we have girls over at least they get played with then!
I just remembered I used to love how the Strawberry Shortcake dolls smelled. Kind of like weird plastic fruity smell. I think my favorite was the Lemon Merange one.

We even had the strawberry shortcake doll house!

I had every Strawberry short cake doll that they made at the time - it was quite the collection!

I loved strawberry shortcake, and would only sleep with my strawberry shortcake sheets on my bed. One year I went a strawberry shortcake for halloween and my mum made me a funny hat to go with the costume. It was great!

I was going to mention Monchichi's too! I still have my Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I have a boy, so they're in the attic taking up space. Some still smell!! Do they even make any toys that smell anymore? I was also in to Cabbage Patch Kids. I think I had 7 of them. (They're in the attic also)

Yeah, I forgot about Monchichi's. I used to like the song. Is Rainbow Bright coming back? I don't spend any time in the girl toys section so I don't know!

Haha, did anyone ever change their Cabbage Patch's names? I only had one but the neame was soooo awful, I can't remember what it was! I had it officially changed to Krissy Ann and I was the proudest little parent!

I saw pound puppies at toys r us the otherday, I used to love them too. Strawberry shortcake looks kind of weird to me now, no like it. I love those little tiny mini my little ponies, they are sooo cute! Do you guys remember keepers? They had a little key and you could hide things in them. Popples are not as cute as before, neither are carebears. I feel like they cheapened up a lot of the toys now... Awww, the good ol' days...

They need to bring the original Strawberry Shortcake back. I never changed my Cabbage Patch Kid's names, but I remember buying the diapers for them. I had a boy doll named Elwood Jo, and girls Julia Dale, Imogene Camille, Maureen Riva.... They were sure scrounging for names, huh?! Some strange combos... I can't believe I remembered some of those names!
