What Now?

So I went to college but I could not afford to finish. I came home (philly) and I started a free program that offered prep classes to take the TEAS test. You see, I would like to become an RN, but I want to get my LPN so I can work while I go to school. So anyway, I passed the program but I heard the TEAS test was REALLY hard. So I am kinda scared to take it. Plus it's 50.00 so I do not want to waste my money. Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do or should I stop being a punk and take the test??? I hate failing tests which is why I am really nervous about it. HELP!!

How will you do on the TEAS? Depending upon how good your "prep class" was for the test and how well you studied...are really the indicators. Ask the prep class people what their pass rate is. If they look puzzled because you are asking...then there is a reason why it was "free."

I too am a big baby when it comes to taking tests and will admit that I actually even went and got hypnotized before I took my certification test. In retrospect, and what I now know of hypnotherapy, I should have had them do it about three different times during the period of time I was studying.

The key here is this...preparation. Sure I probably tested better after I was hypnotized to help with my anxiety. If I had prepared better while working on my anxiety I would have done much better.

Here is a really good link to a site that is great with prep and even gives free sample tests to take. It is worth paying for study materials if you think you need them. Nurses make great money...someday you'll look back and say, "I can't believe I sweat-ed over the $50 test fee."

    Good luck!

Thank you for the link. Those questions are really hard. My prep classes focused on math, anatomy, and reading and writing. I know like 50% of the each page.-- Not good! But the answers are there so I can make some sort of study guide of my own. Now I know exactly what to brush up on. Thanx!
