you said if the elephant's trunk is up it's good luck, but that doesn't necessarily mean that if the trunk's down it's bad luck does it?

i read a little bit about it, and one of the more commonly held beliefs is that when the trunk is up, good luck is stored and when it is down, good luck is dispensed....so really both ways could be seen as lucky.
