Hi Smiling

Times change and so do fashion's so-called rules. My question is...........when you wear strappy high heels for fancy occasions in the Winter.....DO YOU WEAR NYLONS OR NOT? Often I prefer to wear tights, but sometimes I wear nothing, making sure my legs are looking great.....sometimes adding a bit of self tanner. What do you do? Eye-wink

I like the warmth of tights, but often they are just not right for the shoes for that special occasion. I also like to not wear either, depending on the shoe and the occasion. I do wear nylons, but very seldom.

I personally wouldn't wear nylons or tights with open toe strappy shoes (only peep-toe shoes with a small opening on occasions). But if you are afraid of being cold, try to pair your outfit with some cute open foot leggings Smiling. That might help with staying warm.

They have the nylons that have an open to for the pip-toes heels.

I don't wear either right now, Florida is way too hot for that. So looking forward to moving somewhere that has a real winter though, will wear tights there. I'm not into nylons at all.

Honestly, I don't wear strappy heels or open toed heels in the winter. In the winter, I wear tights with closed toe heels or boots. Now, when the weather is warmer...I will wear strappy heels and open toe shoes..and I always make sure my legs are slightly tan, by using a sunless tanner (like you), and just the sun I get naturally. I live in, NW FL so the weather does get cold here...but the majority of the time it's warm. Oh, now if there is a formal event or semi-formal (cocktail dress)...I will wear strappy/open toed heels, and use sunless tanner, and then I use this lotion that gives my skin a really healthy looking glow (it's not glittery in the least...it just makes a really pretty glow)..I can't remember the name of it at the moment. But I love that stuff. Good question!

depends. if it's a super fancy adult occasion, then i wear nylons to try and hide my leg tattoo. if it's fancy but i'm amongst mostly friends... i go without the nylons and show off the ink!

I wouldn't go bare if it was cold. Wear tights under that contrast or complement the color of the sandals. It's most definitely a fashion rule (you know don't wear sandals in the winter) that can be broken in a time where just about anything goes (ex. fringe, rompers, thigh-high boots).

Depends on the event - super fancy - nylons and heels, business or cocktails- tights. I am too pale even for self tanners to really work on me.

I do not wear neither. I am very cold natured so I always wear closed toe shoes and pants.

I PREFER to wear neither...my legs are my best asset Eye-wink BUT, unfortunately, I am cold natured and it seems to be freaking freezing in my office. And since I refuse to give up my skirts and dresses, I usually wear either tights or nylons, depending on the outfit and shoe. But believe you me, it's for warmth only! As soon as the weather turns I'm bare-legged all the way!

And BTW, I think sheer toe nylons and tights are fine with peep-toe shoes.

I don't wear strappy heels in the winter. I don't have reason to. But if I did - I wouldn't wear either. I DON'T wear either - ever. I can't stand anything hugging my legs like that. It's uncomfortable. I've been that way since I was little.

Living in the NE I try to avoid my open toed strappy heels in the winter. I don't like to wear nylons/tights with open toed shoes so I just don't wear them. My little toes would freeze with all that snow!

I wear nylons, but that's because I don't usually wear shoes that are too open in the winter. I go for peep toes usually.
