Good news--I get to ring in the New Year with my best friends and thousands of other people at the Champs Elysees in Paris. Since it's

a) New Year's and
b) one of the most fashionable locations in the world

Not sure how to post pics yet, I think I did manage to post but I'm not sure...so I'm posting here as well!

For Halloween I've decided to go as a Vamp! I want to do a classy goth glam vampire...hopefully it will look fab! So far I think I have the makeup and head part down. I made a fascinator and I think I'm going to sweep my hair to the side and pull it back, that way we'll have a good view of the bites on my neck!

I'm open to opinions and tips if you all would like to share. I trust your opinions! So give it to me, do you likey???

I am looking for a good exfoliating gel cleanser for my combination skin. I know Mary Kay has a gel cleanser with microbeads in their line, but it is super expensive. I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheapier cleanser that is a gel cleanser that exfoliates? Does anyone know about Neutrogena's Deep Clean Invigorating Daily Cleanser? It is gel and looks like it has microbeads. If anyone could help I would be super happy. Thanks!

I love looks that are classy, sexy, and most of all comfortable. I think that this look from gilt.com does it all. It's a five minute look that you can put together for work or one of those last minute events that most of us need to attend at some point. I loving how it can look chic on any figure. I love this color. It's called Dakota, and it's by Zoya. This color reminds me exactly of another color by Goldie, called Charlie, which is now unavailable. I was quite pleased to find such a similar shade by a brand that's actually better for my nails (they are toluene, formaldehyde and DBP free).

Chanel Kaleidoscope Nail Polish

I bought this polish expecting it to be phenomenal, but alas, I have not found it to be so. The color is somewhat disappointing (I have a similar color from Cover Girl called Bronze Goddess that I like much better!). I'm pretty fair, so maybe it would look better on slightly darker skin. It is the quality that I am truly disappointed in. It chips terribly! Not just like some chips on the ends, but huge chunks (like half the nail) coming off less than 24 hours after the application. For a $20 polish, I expected better.

I switch concealers all the time because I thought it was the product that was defective and it never occurred to me that maybe it was me....

Well, apparently it was my eye cream... or still me! I thought the way to apply eye cream was to "dot dot dot, and rub over lower/ upper" but you're actually supposed to gently pat w/ your ring finger all over & wait for the cream to absorb. That way, the concealer goes on a hydrated surface and prevents it from looking all fake and cakey. After I tried her method, my concealer looked flawless!! The skin around the eyes don't really have pores, which is why you have to pat it. Then, you apply the concealer w/ your ring finger again (the pressure is just right for the delicate eye area) all around the eye bone, so it blends seamlessly.
