I was recently granted the "pleasure" of the addition of an office mate to my previously single office. At first she seemed very nice but then everything went to pot. First of all, she is obssessed with chewing gum. I hate gum. I hate the smell of it and more importantly the noise it makes. It sounds like there is a dairy cow in here when she is chewing it and she chews multiple pieces nonstop, everyday. When I didn't think she could eat anything that made more noise she started chomping away on carrots. She chews everything with her mouth open, belches out loud, and takes things from my desk. I have a cup that used to have candy in it (post addition of my office mate) and once when I was reaching for the phone she thought I had candy in there so she held out her hand and said candy like a little three year old. I don't know what to do. I do not have the balls to say something to her face but cannot stand it anymore. She even told me one day to turn off my Christmas music because it was annoying. Would it be unreasonable for me to ask my boss to say something to her? I feel like she would know it was me complaning anyways since I am the only one in the same office as her. What does everyone think? Please help, I am going crazy here!
